As of July1, 2025, all work stoppages drawn up on paper will have to be drawn up using the new secure Cerfa form, which incorporates several authentication features to make it difficult to falsify (a hologram label, magnetic ink, prescriber identification, etc.).
This secure form reduces the risk of forgery and prescriber impersonation.
Point of vigilance :
Scrupulously check the conformity of the document received.
- Invalid work stoppage = suspected fraud.
Reminder: during a teleconsultation, a stay of absence may not exceed 3 days (unless issued by the attending physician or referring midwife).
Why the change?
This reinforcement is aimed at curbing fraud, the rate of which has exploded.
In 2024, the financial loss detected by the Assurance Maladie for false work stoppages amounted to over 30 million euros (compared with 8 million in 2023). The sale of fake work stoppages on social networks or the Internet is behind this sharp rise

In concrete terms, what happens on July1, 2025?
If it's not possible to send the order electronically (e.g. for a home visit), the doctor will have to use the new secure form exclusively.
For employees: as is currently the case, they will have to :
- send CPAM sections 1 and 2
- give the employer part 3
On the employer's side: old paper forms and copies (scans or photocopies) should no longer be accepted.
Please note: These documents will be systematically rejected and considered as false documents, subject to penal sanctions.
