Why did you choose Exco Antilles Guyane?
There were many reasons why I chose Exco Antilles Guyane: to have my first experience in auditing and to find out if I would like this job, to have the opportunity to do an internship in a geographical area that was unknown to me, with the advantage of the French language. It's a rewarding experience and a springboard for the start of my professional career.
What have you learned? What do you take away from this experience?
I've learned a core business that I'm passionate about: every assignment is different. The fact that I travel a lot, both in Guadeloupe and French Guiana, helps me to organize my work and plan my assignments. I really appreciate the opportunity to travel and discover new cultural aspects.
Working at Exco Antilles Guyane as an intern also gives you the chance to learn more, more quickly. Our human-sized teams make learning easy.
The atmosphere? Your integration into the team?
As the firm is on a human scale, it's very easy to integrate into the team, where there's a very good atmosphere. That's another of the firm's strengths. The team spirit is very strong.
For those who don't know Martinique or have no ties there, please comment on your living environment: accommodation, leisure activities....
I arrived in Martinique without knowing the island or anyone on it. You have to overcome your fears and turn them into a strength, while developing a spirit of curiosity. The island abounds in landscapes, beaches, etc. I can only recommend it.
For accommodation, it's best to look for a flat-share in advance. Which I didn't do, because I looked at the last minute. A word of advice: think ahead!
