An end-of-career medical check-up is compulsory for certain employees retiring on or after October1, 2021.
The employees concerned are :
- Workers who benefit or have benefited from enhanced individual health monitoring
- Workers who have benefited from specific medical monitoring due to their exposure to one or more risks (notably asbestos, lead, carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic agents, biological agents, ionizing radiation, hyperbaric risk, etc.).
As soon as the employer is aware of the employee's retirement, he immediately informs the occupational health department, which then determines whether the employee qualifies for the visit and organizes it. If necessary, the occupational physician may recommend post-professional follow-up.
